Tom & Lori- Ever since I was first introduced to the two of you a few years back, I felt I had found a breeder who really cared about the dogs, doing everything they can to make sure they are healthy, not over-bred and purchased by people who would be responsible owners. Since that time I have referred many people who have purchased pups from River Valley. I bought both of my boys', Dozer first & then Tommy after his time as a stud dog at River Valley, as started dogs, trained and ready to go as I do not have the time to go through the puppy stage and do the training. My two boys hang out at work with me and are great for 'public relations' and when people see them they always comment on their wonderful disposition and ask what breeder. I just wanted to take time to tell you and show you what a beautiful young lady I have that was a pup of River and Molly. She is such a happy girl, happy to meet new people and other dogs. She loves rope toys, squeeky toys, and her soccer ball. She took to water right away with watching my brother's dogs playing and retrieving balls, she just walked in and followed, swimming behind them. We have attended puppy kindergarten and puppy plus class and are currently attending beginners obedience class in Bloomington MN. This is for my benefit to be a good dog owner and just having a better behaved dog. I want you to know how happy I am to have her in my life, and I will always do my best to take care of her. Maggie is the greastest dog I have ever had. She is so much fun to be around. She loves all my friends and she is a playful dog. She knows when she has to be serious and when she can have fun. She obeys the whole faimly and WE do NOT regret getting her.

When we went looking for a dog we were looking for a specialty dog. We wanted a dog that will be a part of the family, a house pet, a good Suburban pet, and a hunting buddy for Dad. We found that in Maggie. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. We have found that our British Retriver is smart, gentle around kids, a quick learner, smaller than an American Lab, and a perfect fit for our family.

is an outstanding retriever who was retrieving training dummies at 10 weeks
old and retrieving doves like an old pro at the age of ten months.
Jessie is loyal and affectionate and very good with children. Although an
accomplished hunter at a very young age, Jessie is much more that that, she
is a beloved member of our family.

Our British Lab is perfect for our family and is great with our other animals - we have 4 cats and all of them get along great. Even though we think our pup was the best one, we're convinced that we could not have gone wrong picking any of her other littermates. Our Gracie has been easy to housetrain, has always had a mellow personality, and just as Tom had assured us really "turns on" the natural hunting instincts whether she's in the field or over water.
