River Valley British Kennels is a small but growing facility located just outside of Le Sueur, MN in south central MN. Our goal is to bring the sporting public the best that British Labrador bloodlines have to offer. Known as the "Gentleman's Dog", British Labs have their own unique characteristics. Smaller in size: females ranging from 45-65 lbs., males from 55-80 lbs. Their colors are black, yellow, and fox red. British Labs are known for their calm disposition and their tremendous drive to please. They also are quick to learn and have an easy going temperament. River Valley British Kennels will be striving to produce quality, healthy dogs that will be as comfortable in your home as a family member, as in the field flushing roosters or retrieving a mallard.

About Us:
 We will be raising a few litters a year and will stress quality not quanity. The health of our dogs always comes first. We want to raise healthy, happy puppies. Our dogs are raised in a family environment and make true and loyal companions as well as determined hunting companions. We don't believe in flooding the market with puppies just to make money. Too many litters at a time results in unsocialized puppies. Puppies require a lot of time, love, and attention to make sure that they are socialized well to people and other dogs. It's important to keep the numbers small. If a breeder tells you that the puppies run to the back of the pen because they know you are strangers, it's time to turn around and leave because that is a sign of unsocialized puppies. All puppies should run to the front of the pen if properly socialized.
We also believe it's important not to breed for color alone. You want to breed to improve the breed. To take the best characteristics for temperment, hunting ability, and drive, to bring the best qualities out in the pups.
